How do I work?

I work as a user researcher embedded in an agile development team or directly for customer stakeholders. I am registered on HMG’s Digital Marketplace as a supplier.

Do I recruit users for research?

It depends on the assignment. I usually work with specialist participant recruitment agencies and write the recruitment specification, check participant profiles and provide feedback to the agency following research. I have recruited participants directly within customer organisations and helped set-up user research participant panels.

When have I applied user research?

I have worked at all stages from pre-development concept work to post-live stages. Under the Government Development Service (GDS) standard I have worked at Discovery, Alpha, Private and full Beta and live stages over the last 10 years.
